Welcome to the Arcade! To keep the competition fun, fair, and enjoyable for everyone, we have established a set of core guidelines. By participating in the Arcade, you automatically agree to abide by these rules.
1. General Conduct & Fair Play
Fair play only: The use of cheats, hacks, scripts, automated bots, exploits, or any external software to manipulate scores is strictly prohibited.
Report glitches: If you encounter a bug or glitch in a game that gives an unfair advantage, do not exploit it. Report it immediately to the administration team.
No server manipulation: Intentionally refreshing, interrupting, or manipulating the page while a score is transmitting to disrupt the arcade system is not allowed.
2. High Scores & Championships
Score validity: Scores achieved during a proven forum outage, server lag, or arcade mod glitch may be removed by the administration.
Challenges: Sending spam or bad-faith challenges to other members simply to annoy or harass them is forbidden.
Periodic resets: The administration reserves the right to periodically reset high scores (e.g., seasonally or annually) to keep the competition fresh. This will always be announced in advance.
3. Sportsmanship & Communication
Be a good sport: Mocking, insulting, or harassing other players over their scores, lost championships, or ranking is not tolerated.
Game comments: If the arcade mod allows leaving comments on games or high scores, the standard forum rules apply. No profanity, discrimination, spam, or toxic behavior.
4. Enforcement & Penalties
Violating these rules will result in disciplinary action from the moderation team, depending on the severity of the offense:
1. Immediate removal of the fraudulent score(s).
2. Temporary suspension from the Arcade section.
3. Permanent ban from the Arcade and/or the entire SMF forum.
The administration team retains the final word in all disputes regarding scores and gameplay.
